· 1 pkg nitrite free organic uncured bacon
· Asparagus washed and tough bottoms removed*
· 1/4 lemon wedge
Preheat oven to 400°.
Rinse and prepare asparagus. * To prepare asparagus: hold bottom end with one hand and then hold the asparagus almost midway with the other hand. The asparagus will bend where it is tender and snap. Discard rough bottoms.
Cut bacon in half. Starting at the bottom end of the asparagus wrap bacon around in a spiraling motion until you get to the tip. Place on grate.
Bake in oven until bacon is crisp. (turn over half way through cooking) about 20 minutes. (10 minutes on each side)
Remove from oven and sprinkle with lemon wedge.
