It is important to switch things up from time to time in order to get the best possible results from your training program. At Elite, we have developed a system in which we are introducing and switching up exercises from week to week and month to month.
While the main goals of the training remain the same, IE improving speed, strength, power, injury prevention, etc, we provide different variations in order to keep the training fresh and our athletes constantly progressing.
As a rule of thumb, try switching up your exercise selection or introduce new exercise variations every 3-4 weeks. The more advanced of a lifter or athlete you are, the sooner you may need to switch things up and newbies can continue to see progress while switching things up less frequently.
As they say, variety is the spice of life! Adding variety is also a great way to reduce the chances of you becoming bored with your training plan.
