Exposing young athletes to a wide variety of movements is crucial to their overall athletic development.
With this drill we are challenging our young athletes by combining a vertical jump over a cone followed with a quick shuffle to the next cone.
Getting young athletes moving in a variety of planes and directions helps to improve coordination and body control.
Remember, when working with young kids, do NOT over-coach them. Rather offer easy to comprehend coaching cues and allow them to learn much of the movement pattern on their own.
