Using the Ladder as a "Teaching" Tool For Young Athletes

The Ladder is a 👍great tool for learning and reinforcing good running technique and form.

We use the ladder in our dynamic warm-up at the beginning of every training session at Elite - with all aged athletes.

For younger athletes, as shown in this video, it is great to teach proper movement for both the upper and lower body (most people just think lower body with running, but the upper body is equally important for movement efficiency and speed).

We still use the ladder for our older athletes, who may already have the movement technique down, as it helps to further reinforce and cement the proper movement and running form.
